Plain Melamine Foam is an extremely lightweight, open-cell material which is incredibly resistant to heat. The plain or "unfaced" material is very useful in light duty area. The unfaced panels can be adhered to walls or ceiling to absorb echo and reverberation. Melamine foam is fireproof and acceptable for most building codes. Easily installed with Acosutical panel adhesive, adhesive bonding pads, velcro dots or Contact spray adhesive. Plain melamine foam can be used in hallways, restaurants, school cafeterias and other places where echo and reverberation need to be controlled. (ASTME84 Class 1A, Nonflammable) |

The Bone Faced Melamine has a durable urethane coating that allows the sound to travel into the foam to be absorbed. | Tedlar® Faced Melamine Foam is ideal for sound absorption where fire safety is an issue. Tedlar® Faced Melamine is a durable facing that does not allow grease, oil, and other liquids to penetrate into the foam. In addition, Tedlar® is suitable for wet environments. The Tedlar® faced foam is useful in small work areas with loud, sharp noises occur from metal tools or grinding instruments. The foam reduces the amount of noise that is bounced back to the operator. |
| The Reinforced Aluminum Foil facing is made of a durable reinforced aluminum with a fiberglass scrim (weave). The reinforced facing is ideal for higher temperature and more rugged environments. The Reinforced Aluminum Foil will resist grease, oil and petroleum derivatives. The reinforced foil facing will also act as a heat shield to reflect hot temperatures away from the foam. The foam is made from melamine boasting a low smoke emission and will not burn. |
